Hal Burgiss

Hal has been the Programming and Technology lead at DBS>Interactive since 2007.

Hal started “writing” DOS programs in the early 1990’s, beginning with dBase, moving up the ladder to FoxPro, then skipped the entire Windows fad, and eventually landed in the networked Open Source world of Linux, PERL, PHP and Web development. Hal has also been an IT administrator at several local businesses. During that time he also worked on Open Source projects such as Privoxy and as a freelance web developer. As DBS’s system administrator, he manages a mixed environment of in-house and cloud based services that support both the internal private side of DBS, and the external public side for DBS and DBS’s clients. In addition to systems administration, Hal, as the lead back-end programmer, has had his bony little fingers on more WordPress sites than you can shake a stick at.
